Cats find their way to Crash's Landing through a variety of ways, but Azalea's story is one of the saddest. She was abandoned by her previous owners.

Can you give Azalea a second chance?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Azalea.

Azalea was born in 2011. She first arrived at Crash's Landing after another shelter gave them a call. Azalea had been wandering for a couple of months after being left behind by her previous owners.

Crash's Landing took Azalea in and gave her immediate care. She needed a lot of help. Azalea was covered in fleas and suffered from a nasty dermatitis, her lymph nodes were enlarged due to the chronic inflammation, her pads were abraded and she was in need of a dental cleaning.

Azalea is a very nice cat (especially when there are no other cats around). She loves having all of the attention for herself!

Can you give Azalea a home?
