Kirtan Leader Michael H. Cohen continues his 2013 Midwest tour as he returns to Grand Rapids for a Summer Solstice Kirtan Celebration at the Grand Rapids Zen Center tonight, Saturday, June 22 from 8-10pm.

The Kirtan event will be held at the new GRAND RAPIDS ZEN CENTER, located at 451 Division Ave. South, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 - one block South of Wealthy Street. This beautiful center recently relocated and re-opened. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. This drug and alcohol free event is family friendly. Children 13 and under are admitted free of charge. Cohen’s high-energy group performed an acoustic set as part of Art Prize 2012 at the renowned St. Cecilia’s Music Center. Shakti Gayatri, a track from Cohen’s 2012 release SOUL CONTACT, won a $2000 prize in the Pop/Electronic category. Cohen’s second album was released in April 2012. Like his debut album, Om Dattatreya: Journey to the West, this album was created with Grammy Award winning producer Jeff Ciampa.
