How To Handle Your Kitchen
Another weekend of watching cooking and home repair t.v. shows on cable. I'm not the only one. Lots of people watch other people work. I haven't tackled many of the home renovation projects...too much money. I have prepared a few of the things I've seen cooked on t.v. Problem is, many of the t.v. chefs use spices, products, etc that I don't have on hand and don't want to buy.
Most people have seen food in their pantry go to waste. More than 85-percent of those answering a new survey for The J.M. Smucker Company say they've lost pantry items simply because they went bad on the shelf. While a little bit of culinary creativity could help, many adults admit it's not easy for them to mix it up in the kitchen.
Just under 50-percent say they haven't experimented with recipes because they didn't have the right tools or ingredients needed for what they wanted to do. Another 35-percent cite time constraints as the reason they haven't tried to stretch their food budget by finding alternate uses for goods before they go stale.
