A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for making anonymous phone or email bomb threats to the Rockford Public Schools.

Rockford High School was put on “shelter-in-place” for a short time Tuesday afternoon due to a bomb threat.

Superintendent Mike Shibler told the folks at WZZM-13 that the school received a call shortly before noon saying there was a bomb in the building. The caller then hung up.

The “shelter-in-place” was lifted at about 1:30pm Tuesday. The FBI is investigating the incident.
